WHAT WE SELL

We sell adhesive tapes, just adhesive tapes, hundreds of different kinds of adhesive tapes. Well I guess we do sell some non-adhesive tapes too, but not that much. Most people are amazed by the number of different tapes available today. But don't be scared, that's why we are here, to guide you through the jumble of different tapes to find the one you need to do your job.

As many as there are they can be grouped into a few categories:

DOUBLE-COATED TAPES (Also called DOUBLE-SIDED or TWO-SIDED TAPES)

These tapes are used for joining things together. They can be made from paper, plastic, cloth, metal foil or foam. They can have rubber, acrylic, synthetic rubber, conductive or silicone adhesives. Most of these tapes can be used for a wide range of applications but some (a growing number) are application specific. Easily die-cut for quick application. How do you know which one is right for you? CALL US! That's why we are here.

TRANSFER ADHESIVES (Also called UNSUPPORTED ADHESIVE)

Similar to DOUBLE-COATED TAPES but they have no internal structure. They consist of pure adhesive on a roll. They are harder to work with by hand.

ELECTRICAL and THERMAL INSULATION TAPES

Designed for electrical and high or low temperature work these tapes are on the cutting edge of technology. They can be made from Mylar, Teflon, Kapton, fiberglass, vinyl or paper. They can have rubber (thermosetting or non-thermosetting), acrylic or silicone adhesives. Confused? Don't be! Let us help you.

METAL FOIL TAPES

Made from aluminum, copper or lead these tapes have a wide range of applications ranging from electronics (RFI shielding) to decoration to sporting goods (swing weight adjustment). Available in a wide range of gauges with a wide range of adhesive types. Easily die-cut for quick application.

PAPER TAPES

You know, masking tape, but so much more. Available in regular, high temp, automotive grade or heavy duty, some are also electrical grade. Some grades are still required for military spec packaging. We keep the largest selection available.

CASE SEALING TAPES

You know what we mean. Plastic types include PVC, polypro or polyester. Easily applied with a hand dispenser or automatic machine, these tapes have made case sealing quick and easy. They can also be printed with a logo, name, address or other information for advertising, identification or security purposes.

STRAPPING TAPES

Very strong (I mean really very strong) tapes for palletizing or bundling. Some have filaments, others do not. They are available with special non-staining adhesive for use on appliances and furniture.

GASKETING TAPES

Used for creating a seal between two surfaces, these tapes have adhesive on one side and are soft enough to conform to the other surface when pressed down. These can be made of a multitude of materials including neoprene, sponge rubber, silicone foam, PVC, Polymeric, polyethylene, cork, cork and rubber composite, felt and urethane. Available for high and low temperature applications too. In addition some of these products work well as anti-skid and anti-scratch pads.

GRAPHIC ARTS TAPES

Designed for use in pre-press work and plate mounting. They include litho tapes (red, blue and brown), cellophane (Scotch) tapes, certain double-coated tapes and cushion mount foams. The pre-press stuff is used for producing printing plates. The plate mounting tapes are used for putting the finished plates on the press.

DECORATIVE TAPES

Lots of times people want to use tape to decorate their finished products. Very often they ask for gold or silver. These tapes are actually polyester that has a special coating to make them look like gold or silver. Well we've got them. Plus a wide range of colored vinyl and paper tapes that can be used to decorate everything from bicycle helmets to candy jars. Plus we have tapes with prism patterns and glitter for more outrageous looks.

SECURITY TAPES

These tapes provide a level of security protection by indicating that a box or bag has been tampered with. Some tapes self-destruct upon removal (like in MISSION IMPOSSIBLE) while others change color or are printed with a logo that can't be reproduced. While good in concept many of these products require very strict conditions be followed when applying them in order to get them to work right.

VELCRO™ HOOK AND LOOP FASTENER

The greatest invention of all time (well just my opinion anyway). Most people refer to it as having male and female sides. WRONG! They are called hook (the plastic part) and loop (the fabric part). Available with or without adhesive in rolls or pieces this stuff has millions (well hundreds) of applications.

CLOTH TAPES

Most people are surprised to find that tape is made of cloth. The two most popular are duct tape (most popular in silver but available in colors too) and gaffers tape, a higher quality cloth used in the entertainment industry for holding wires and scenery in place. But there are many other types as well. Athletic tape (for sprained ankles, hockey tape, fire-resistant cloth (for aircraft) and fiberglass cloth (for electrical work) are just a few. Most are available in colors.

SURFACE PROTECTION TAPES

These are low tack plastic or paper tapes that are applied to polished or painted surfaces to prevent them from getting dirty or damaged during machining or shipping. Easy to remove but most consumers think you have to leave them in place so they never get removed.

APPLICATION TAPE (LETTERING TRANSFER TAPE)

Special low-tack tape designed for applying cut-vinyl letters during the sign-making process.

AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE TAPES

Special tapes that meet the FAA requirements for use on aircraft systems. Most are flame-retardant. They come in a wide range of materials including: Teflon, Mylar, aluminum foil laminates, fiberglass and cloth. We have the largest selection available. A certificate of compliance is available for each.

KIT & RETAIL ROLLS

We can take most tapes and make small rolls for inclusion in kits or for retail sale. Dispensers are available as well.

DISPENSERS

These are the things you use to apply tape. Some are hand held and quite compact while others are large automatic machines that require electricity and compressed air. It depends on how much you want to spend. Let us know the situation and we can get you what you need

I could go on and on but I hope you get the idea by now. If you don't see what you need on the list, don't fret. Just give us a buzz and tell us what you need the tape to do and we will match you right up.
